Creating a circular society with flow technology

BUSINESS SUMMARY

Retec Flow Co., Ltd. will develop a new method for cultivating algae using flow control technology. In addition, carbon dioxide contained in exhaust gases from factories and other facilities will be collected and utilized as a component useful for algae photosynthesis, helping to build a carbon-recycling society.

THOUGHTS ON FOUNDING

From my teenage years, I have yearned for a society where nature and humans can coexist. To achieve this, I enrolled in the Department of Energy and Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Ryukyus, with the goal of building an environmentally harmonious society. At the university, I researched thermal energy and was later hired as a staff member in that field. As a university researcher, I have used my knowledge of thermal fluid engineering to conduct research that can create environmentally friendly industries, such as reducing carbon dioxide and establishing new forms of aquaculture. This new aquaculture also promotes employment for people with disabilities, who have traditionally faced difficulties finding jobs. Based on this knowledge, I founded Retech flow Inc., a company dedicated to creating a compassionate society.

Graduated from the Department of Energy and Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of the Ryukyus in 1991. Completed the Graduate School of Engineering majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the same university in 1993 and became an assistant professor at the Faculty of Engineering. Became a professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of the Ryukyus in 2018. Founded Retec Flow Co., Ltd. in 2019.
